The Christian Center Church

"The Perfect Church For Imperfect People"

About Us

The Christian Center Church has been planted in Rostraver Township, PA since 1976, serving this region with a deep love for people and a passion to see lives transformed by Jesus. Everything we do comes from a simple conviction: we believe in holding tightly to the unshakable truth of God’s Word while embracing the life-giving freedom of His Spirit—and keeping Jesus Christ at the center of it all. That balance shapes our worship, our ministries, and the way we love our community.
We’re far from perfect, but we are a family—and there is a place here for you. I’d love to invite you to experience the warmth, the faith, and the community at The Christian Center Church. Come and see what God is doing.

Our Story

The Christian Center Church: The Perfect Church for Imperfect People

Welcome home. That’s truly what I want people to feel the moment they meet us—because at The Christian Center Church, you don’t have to pretend to be anything other than who you are. We’re a church full of real people, walking through real life, learning together what it means to follow Jesus. And that’s exactly the way we like it. We’ve been planted here in Rostraver Township, PA—right off exit 46 at I-70 and Hwy 51—since 1976, loving this region and the incredible people who call it home. Our heart is simple: to create a family-oriented, grace-filled atmosphere where anyone, from any background, can encounter God’s love and start becoming the person He designed them to be. We really are the perfect church for imperfect people.

When you walk into one of our services—Friday at 7 PM, Sunday at 9 AM and 10:30 AM, or Wednesday Night Family Night—you’ll sense the warmth immediately. You can start with a free cup of coffee or tea from our welcome area. We worship with passion, we pray with faith, and we preach messages that speak directly to the heart and everyday life. We want you to feel encouraged, connected, and strengthened every time you walk through our doors.

If you’re carrying hurts, habits, or struggles that feel too heavy, our Celebrate Recovery family is here for you. It’s a safe place to heal, to be understood, and to walk step-by-step toward freedom with people who genuinely care.
Our church is built around families. From our Preschool and Wee School, to Lighthouse Daycare, Children’s Church, and our Homeschool Co-Op—we pour into kids with love, truth, and joy. Middle and high school students can jump into Ignite Youth, and our Young Adult Impact Group helps college-age and 20-somethings build friendships, grow spiritually, and discover purpose. Adults can grow and connect through our Connection Groups to encourage, serve, and support one another.

We’re also passionate about creating a place where people can thrive not just spiritually, but in every part of life. God has blessed us with a beautiful campus—basketball and pickleball courts, a playground, a swimming pool, an outdoor stage, and a peaceful place to gather and connect. And through our “Full Potential Project” outreach, we go beyond our walls to serve the community, meet needs, and help people discover the fullness of who God created them to be. Our “His Place” Coffee Shop located in Monessen is a cozy spot for great conversation, community, and just taking a breath.
There truly is something for everyone here. Whether you’re looking for meaningful worship, a place where your kids can grow, opportunities to serve, or simply a place to belong—you’ll find it at The Christian Center Church.

So I want to personally invite you: come experience a community that will love you, support you, challenge you, and walk with you. A place where grace is abundant, faith is alive, and Jesus is at the center of everything. Here, you’re not just welcome—you’re family. And there will always be a place for you.

My husband and I have been attending Christian Center for years, and one moment has always stuck with us. We had been in and out of churches for a while, deciding on a local church to call home. We stayed at Christian Center for a little and then left to attend another local church for about a year. When we came back, someone in leadership greeted us both by name! It may seem like an insignificant thing, but it meant a lot, and solidified our decision to stay. In a world where it's easy to feel forgotten, being remembered stood out. It showed us that people here genuinely care, and we have been attending ever since. This church is so much more than a building. It's a family. Not a perfect family and definitely not pretending to be, but a group of some of the most genuine people I've ever met. I'm also incredibly grateful that my daughter gets to grow up here. She gets to experience the freedom of worshipping Jesus, surrounded by people who love her and encourage her. From the moment she walks through the door, she's welcomed with a smile and usually a pretzel, which is pretty much the highlight of her week. Seeing her excited to come to church and feeling so loved here means more to me than I can put into words. The leadership here truly wants nothing more than to see you grow in your walk with the Lord, and they want to be alongside you while you do it. Also, if you come here and can't find something to get involved in, you honestly might not be paying attention. There is always something going on. Bible studies, groups, events, serving opportunities, fellowship, etc. Over the years, I've laughed here, cried here, grown here, and established lasting relationships. I'm incredibly thankful for my church, the heart of the leaders, and their boldness to stand on the Truth of God's Word. And as a bonus, every week I'm reminded of one the most important truths: I am the one God loves the most! ☺️ Read your Bible!

This church is wonderful. If you long for a family oriented, Bible preaching church, this is your place. They offer two services on Sunday, a Friday night service for those who can't make it on Sunday, Wednesday night Bible study and childrens services. There are many groups available and various activities. You are made to feel welcome...the way a church is supposed to be.

An incredible church with the most welcoming community. From the moment you walk in, you feel genuine love, kindness, and purpose. The messages are inspiring and practical, the worship is uplifting, and the people truly care. This church has made a real difference in my life for the last 14 years—I’m so grateful to be part of it. This church is more than a place to attend—it’s a family. The leadership is thoughtful, and the atmosphere is full of encouragement and hope. If you’re looking for a church where people genuinely care, this is it.

FAQ

What makes The Christian Center Church different from other churches?
We really are a perfect church for imperfect people. Here, you don’t have to have it all together—you just have to be willing to come as you are. Our heart is to create a family atmosphere where everyone feels accepted and valued, no matter where you are on your faith journey. From passionate, life-giving worship to programs designed for every age and stage of life, we want to build a community where you can belong, grow, and discover the joy of serving God and others.
What programs are available for children and youth?
We offer a wide range of programs to care for and invest in every stage of life—Preschool, WEE School, Lighthouse Daycare, our Homeschool Co-Op, Children’s Church, Ignite Youth, and our Young Adult Impact Group. Each one is intentionally designed to help kids, teens, and young adults grow spiritually, build real friendships, and have fun in a safe, loving environment.
How can I get involved as an adult?
Adults can plug into Connection Groups, volunteer in our various ministries, or get involved in outreach through the Full Potential Project. We’re also planning some mission trips that will give our church family the chance to serve beyond our local community. No matter your gifts or background, there’s a place for you to connect, serve, and grow spiritually.
When are your services and special programs held?
We come together for worship on Fridays at 7 PM, and on Sundays at 9 AM and 10:30 AM, and our Wednesday Night Family Night is always a highlight of the week. Throughout the week, you’ll also find Celebrate Recovery, children’s ministries, youth activities, and community events happening all around our church family. There’s always something meaningful going on—something that helps us grow, connect, and move closer to the heart of God.
Where are you located and how can I visit?
We’re easy to find—right here in Rostraver Township, PA near exit 46 at I-70 and Hwy 51—and our doors are always open. Whether you’re joining us for worship, checking out a program, or just wanting to see what our church family is all about, you’re welcome here. Come as you are—we can’t wait to meet you.
